In 2020, on behalf of Kfield Comunicazione and Re Soil Foundation, I created a reportage on a subject that I never thought would be the protagonist of one of my works. Soil, this little-known element that we often take for granted, is the fundamental basis of all terrestrial ecosystems, the foundations of our cities, the matrix of everything we feed on as well as an extraordinary ally against climate change.

Among the topics that I have chosen to develop for this project are:

• Soil biodiversity, told through portraits of its inhabitants, especially invertebrates.

• Intensive and sustainable agriculture, the respective impact on the land and some strategies for their virtuous management.

• Desertification and its ecological/social impact in an era marked by climate change.

• Deforestation and hydrogeological risk: the close relationship between soil, plants and some natural phenomena.
